Visiting Burano From Venice
After visiting Burano from Venice I quickly realized it’s one of the best places to see in Italy, and one of the most magical places I’ve been to in the world. Burano is a perfect little island about 40 minutes away from Venice thatās known for its brightly colored fishermanās homes. Itās such a beautiful place that between the bright colors of the homes and their reflection on the water it seriously looks and feels like youāre walking through a painting!

Getting There
You can get to Burano by public transportation and my #1 recommendation would be to get there EARLY. Early as in make sure you ARRIVE there by 8am. We had it practically all to ourselves until 9 or 9:30 when tourists started pouring in by the MASSES. By that time we had already taken all the pictures we wanted to, and *without* anyone in them. The beauty of the island is well worth waking up early to have it all to yourself, I promise. š
What to do There
Burano isn’t so much a place to DO things as it is a place to SEE things. Meaning you won’t necessairly be visiting any specific sites so much as you’ll be strolling around taking in the sights. This is why I recommend getting there early. Strolling the canals is so much more enjoyable when they’re not insanely crowded.
A Note to Photographers and Picture-Taking-Enthusiasts:
This gorgeous place has no shortage of breathtaking photo ops. Come prepared with plenty of SD card space, phone storage and charged up batteries. You’ll be glad you did!
Here are just a few of the pictures I took while I was there. š

Dreamy right? š I hope you enjoy visiting this beautiful place as much as I do.
Safe travels friends.
