The Beginning. (From the Middle…..)
For the last 7 years I’ve had the opportunity to do a fair amount of traveling and I’ve loved every minute of it! I’ve had the blessing of being able to visit almost all 50 states, roughly 35 countries, 6 of the seven continents, and quite a few repeat visits to some of those states, countries, and continents, as well.
I feel like I’ve been told a number of times by a number of people that I should keep a blog or write a book or something about my travels. My response to that has always been a question…. “But what would the blog or book be about? My travels, yes, but what about them? Like… what theme, or topic, or storyline, etc?” That question usually stumps the blog and book writing encouragers… It stumped me for a long time too! Then one day I caught myself thinking about some reoccurring themes that come up in conversation when I’m asked about my travels… frequently asked questions, recommendations on places I’ve been, questions about logistics and trip planning, etc.
At first I thought I would write a little blurb on Facebook to try and answer some of the most frequently asked questions I get, but after thinking it over in the back of my mind for a few months, I realized that I may have more to say than a little blurb on Facebook could suffice. And so this little blog baby was born.
I have a few ideas of what I’ll be writing about on here, but we’ll see how those ideas pan out as time goes on. For now just know that this is the beginning of my blog from the middle of my travels, and I’m aiming to post at LEAST weekly on here… So check back often! 😉
