Is Venice Worth Visiting? (The Answer is YES!)
Is Venice worth visiting? Let me tell you a little story. My grandma took me on my very first trip to Europe. It was a coach tour that started in Rome and went to Florence, Venice, Lucerne, Paris and London. And you know which city captured my heart the most…? Venice. I think what fascinated me was the way the city is almost completely built on water. So much so that “streets” are actually canals and instead of a car parked in front of a home it’s a boat tied to a dock. Not to mention the gorgeous colors and Italian charm. š So is Venice worth visiting? If you ask me it’s an absolute yes!
When I came back to Venice (13 years later š®) I did some research on what I should see and do while I was there. And you know what? I didn’t find a whole lot. (Google it and you’ll see what I mean). Sure it has some historical buildings and a museum or two but nothing that I felt like I *needed* to see and absolutely *couldn’t* miss. I found that my most favorite thing to do in Venice was simply to SEE it, walking around all over enjoying the beauty and taking pictures. And that’s exactly what I’d recommend anyone to do when visiting this beautiful place.
There’s a few key places in this city that I’d say are especially photo worthy; so, I’ve included some labels in this photo dump in case you’d like to take note of them. Other than that, enjoy Venice through my camera lense. š
